Instead of working a 4-hour shift, I ended up working a 12-hour shift...
Don't they know I've got an online life too? ;P

So, I was away for the weekend and I got back this evening.
I literally ran through my f-list, updated [info]elitereminders and [info]icondigest, checked the open voting posts and reminded those who had not voted yet to vote and made one icon for [info]dw_stillness to hopefully get the pass-it-on challenge going.
Everything else just has to wait until tomorrow unfortunately. :) *waves*

For those who don't know yet, I'll be away for the next week. I might have some limited internet access but obviously not enough to spend lots of time on LJ so any modly and icon-related activities/business will have to wait until I get back.

See you on the other side! :)

Insert Subject Line Here [Feb. 23rd, 2012|04:36 pm]
From this post at [info]lj_releases:

Classic commenting system for Minimalism - A new commenting scheme has been developed for Minimalism styles which appears the way our previous default commenting scheme functioned. This option is available on the Customize journal page by enabling customized comment pages and enabling the "Show old style Entry page" option.

> Go here and select any of the Minimalism styles
> Then scroll down to Customize Selected Theme and click to go there
> Under Basic Options, make sure 'Disable customized comment pages for your journal' is set to 'No'
> Under Additional Options, make sure 'Use classic commenting page' is set to 'Yes'

Now all we need are some pretty custom layouts that somehow work with the new Minimalism coding. ^^
(ETA: I tried some custom layouts but they don't work and I assume that's due to the changes in the code.)

Icontests - Public Post [Jan. 24th, 2012|01:27 am]
Just a small heads up for those wondering when the voting post(s), and other assorted posts, will be posted.
Because I worked all day, had to do the shopping this evening and I have to update almost all of my communities one way or the other, I decided to do it all tomorrow. I know once I get started on one, I will want to do them all and I kind of need to sleep right now. ;)

(So, if anyone feels like making some icons, you've got about 12 hours left until I post the voting. :)

RL kind of ambushed me this past two weeks and several iconrelated things have been pushed to the background. I will try to get the necessary voting posts up in the coming days but I can't promise anything on new challenges since I'm not on my own computer.

Happy 2012!
